Sacramento, CA (March 1, 2026) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Stockton Boulevard in south Sacramento. Emergency responders arrived at the scene near Stockton Blvd and Massie Ct around 7:23 p.m. on February 26, a Thursday. Initial reports stated that the pedestrian was lying in the northbound lanes of Stockton Blvd when a vehicle hit them. Firefighters and other emergency responders tried to perform life-saving efforts at the scene. Even with these efforts, the victim was declared dead on site. Authorities have not disclosed the deceased individual’s identity. Officials stated that the name will be withheld until family members have been notified. The roadway was temporarily closed while crews operated at the scene and investigators gathered evidence. The northbound lanes of Stockton Blvd reopened shortly before 8:40 p.m. .. Further details regarding the vehicle involved or the circumstances preceding the crash have not yet been released.. The matter is still being investigated by officials..
