Turning movements at intersections like Fanuel Street and Grand Avenue can pose risks. In San Diego, when injuries are reported, crews frequently work to stabilize traffic and safeguard people in the vicinity. In many urban areas, bicyclists share roads with motor vehicles. The placement of traffic signals and lanes can impact cyclists’ safety when navigating intersections, particularly those with traffic from multiple directions. Visibility and signal timing also play a role in safety for both drivers and cyclists.
