A traffic collision was reported on southbound State Route 87 near the Almaden Expressway south offramp in California at about 2:58 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2026. The incident was documented by the California Highway Patrol’s San Jose area unit.
The collision location was described as southbound Route 87 just north of the Almaden Expressway south offramp. CHP initially classified the incident as a traffic collision with an ambulance en route.
A later CHP update at about 3:22 p.m. indicated that no injuries had been reported. The update also indicated that the ambulance response was canceled.
The dispatch information did not provide additional details about the vehicles involved, lane closures, traffic delays or the circumstances of the collision.
