Sacramento, CA (December 9, 2025) – A young boy suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital on Tuesday morning after a house fire occurred on Waterville Way close to Hayground Way, east of Highway 99, as reported by the Sacramento Fire Department. Emergency teams were sent to the scene at approximately 12:15 a.m. on December 9, 2025, following reports of a fire occurring inside the residence. Firefighters responded rapidly and managed to save the child from within the blazing building. Emergency medical staff delivered prompt care before taking him to the hospital. He was initially reported to be in serious condition, but officials later confirmed this around 6:30 a.m. that the child’s condition had improved to a stable state. The boy’s age and other identifying information have not been disclosed yet. Currently, it is unknown what started the fire or if there were other people in the house at the time. Authorities are trying to find out how the fire started. We are keeping the child and his family in our thoughts as he heals from this traumatic experience.
