The incident happened at approximately 7:16 p.m. In the 800 block of N 4th St, a collision occurred between a black BMW 325 and a blue Chevrolet Malibu, with the details of the incident still being investigated. Fire crews from El Cajon responded promptly, discovering both cars obstructing the road, which led to the swift closure of lanes nearby. First responders, alongside paramedics and firefighters, evaluated the situation and administered emergency treatment to those injured. A person sustained significant injuries and was taken by ambulance to Sharp Memorial Hospital for additional care. The victim’s current status has not been disclosed. The accident resulted in considerable traffic disruption in the area while officials managed the scene and initiated their inquiry. Authorities have not yet verified the reason behind the accident or if there will be any legal penalties or charges filed.
