San Jose, CA (September 27, 2025) – On Saturday afternoon, a traffic accident on the southbound lane of Interstate 280 resulted in injuries to at least one individual, causing traffic delays near the S Bascom Ave interchange. The incident was reported at approximately 1:01 p.m. California Highway Patrol units, along with local emergency personnel, promptly reached the location. Paramedics attended to those who were hurt, but details regarding the number of injuries and their seriousness have not been disclosed. The incident caused disruptions on the on-ramp, resulting in delays and traffic congestion while officials worked to regulate the flow of vehicles. Access was temporarily limited as crews helped victims and removed vehicles from the road. Authorities have not disclosed information about what caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved. The inquiry is still active, and further updates might be provided as the CHP carries on with its examination.
