In highway accidents, injuries may vary from minor to severe based on speed, impact angle, and vehicle type. Greater speeds typically amplify impact force, resulting in more severe injuries. Emergency responders evaluate injuries on-site to decide the required level of care. Helicopters are sometimes employed to rapidly transport patients in situations involving life-threatening injuries or significant distances to a hospital. Elements like seatbelt usage, airbag activation, and vehicle design can affect the extent of injuries.
