In Long Beach, California, a tragic accident on Long Beach Boulevard resulted in the death of 39-year-old Jasmine Martinez. She was hit by a driver who fled the scene while crossing the street on Friday afternoon, September 12, around 12:16 p.m. The accident on Long Beach Boulevard took place. The Long Beach Police Department reported that the incident occurred close to Long Beach Boulevard and 68th Street. Investigators found that Jasmine Martinez was crossing the street in a crosswalk on 8833rd Street. Out of nowhere, a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro traveling south in the far-right lane collided with her. The driver kept going without stopping and proceeded south. When they arrived, paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department took Martinez to a hospital. After reaching the hospital, doctors declared Martinez deceased. Officials have identified the suspected driver as Eric Dewayne Moody. Law enforcement found him approximately 40 minutes following the accident and arrested him.
