Sacramento, CA (April 18, 2026) – A bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle in the Natomas neighborhood Friday evening. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Del Paso Road shortly before 8:00 p.m. on April 17, a Friday. Emergency services arrived at the location following reports of a crash between a cyclist and a motor vehicle. The cyclist sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased on site. Drivers were urged to steer clear of the area due to traffic disruptions on Del Paso Road between Interstate 5 and East Commerce Way. Officials indicated that drugs or alcohol were not factors for the driver in the crash. The driver stayed at the scene while the investigation got underway. No additional details have been made public. Officials are still probing the reason for the crash, with further information to follow as it emerges.
