The incident was logged at approximately 2:42 p.m. in the CHP’s El Cajon area. The dispatch did not identify the vehicles involved or provide a reported injury condition.
A later update at 3:45 p.m. stated that the westbound lanes were open. The update provided a status change for traffic moving through the intersection after the initial collision report.
A tow truck was working to remove a vehicle from the southbound lanes. CHP dispatch did not provide additional details about the vehicle or indicate when the roadway recovery was expected to be completed.
