Canoga Park, CA (April 21, 2026) – A fire erupted at an apartment building in Canoga Park, injuring eight people. The incident was reported around 2 a.m. On Tuesday, April 21, in the 20000 block of Bryant Street. Emergency responders arrived to discover flames bursting from windows and thick smoke filling the entire building. Most residents escaped independently, but a couple in an upper-floor apartment got trapped by the blaze. The crews responded swiftly, containing the fire in roughly an hour and halting its further spread. Two units sustained severe damage, displacing six residents. Four individuals were hospitalized for care, and four others received on-site treatment for minor injuries. The fire is thought to have begun in a lower-level unit close to the building’s front. Officials are still probing the blaze’s origin, with additional information to be shared once available. Our thoughts go out to those impacted as they recover.
