Vista, CA (November 13, 2025) – One individual was harmed on Tuesday night after a severe rollover accident involving two cars on westbound State Route 78 close to Melrose Dr, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The accident happened roughly at 10:09 p.m. It included a silver Saturn sedan and a white Toyota Corolla, both of which flipped over and went off the side of the highway. Firefighters and CHP arrived promptly to evaluate the destruction and aid the wounded. Medical professionals verified that one individual was discovered injured at the location and received urgent medical care. The severity of their injuries has not been specified, but they were the only identified patient present at the location. Officials also noted that the other people involved in the accident escaped before emergency services arrived. Tow trucks were dispatched to take both badly damaged vehicles away from the location. The incident briefly disrupted traffic while crews worked on-site. The CHP is still looking into the cause of the rollover and is trying to find those who left the scene.
