San Francisco, CA (March 2, 2026) – A collision involving three vehicles on westbound I-80 in San Francisco resulted in one person being hospitalized with minor injuries on Sunday, March 1. Emergency services arrived on scene at approximately 2:44 p.m. Following reports of a crash blocking lanes near a bridge, officials stated that a flatbed truck struck two other vehicles—a dark-colored pickup truck and a van. The pickup truck’s airbags inflated, leaving it disabled in the left lane. Crash debris blocked lanes as crews cleared the scene. One individual was taken to San Francisco General Hospital suffering minor lacerations and swelling on the left side of the chest. Traffic was delayed for over an hour as vehicles were towed away and the road was cleared. Officials are still probing the crash’s cause, with further information to follow as it emerges.
