El Cerrito, CA (December 13, 2025) – A woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision in El Cerrito early Friday morning. The deadly event occurred at about 5:40 a.m. In the 1700 block of Eastshore Boulevard, a northbound vehicle struck a woman as she was crossing the roadway. According to the El Cerrito Police Department, the 57-year-old woman was walking mid-block outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a maroon Subaru Outback. The Subaru driver stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with authorities. No arrests or citations have been made as of now. Emergency responders, such as paramedics and firefighters, tried to perform life-saving efforts when they arrived. Sadly, the woman was declared dead at the scene owing to the extent of her injuries. Her identity remains undisclosed until next of kin are notified. Authorities are still investigating the crash and are requesting that any witnesses or those with pertinent details reach out to the El Cerrito Police Department.
