East Los Angeles, CA (January 19, 2026) – A pedestrian sustained injuries in a hit-and-run collision late Friday night in the East Los Angeles area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. on January 16 in the 2000 block of Potrero Grande Dr. Authorities reported that a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene before officers arrived.
CHP units and medical personnel responded to assist the injured pedestrian. The individual was evaluated at the scene, and emergency transport was requested, though the full extent of the victim’s injuries has not been disclosed.
No suspect vehicle description was immediately available, and officials are continuing efforts to locate the driver responsible.
The CHP is actively investigating the case and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
