Discovery Bay, CA (March 1, 2026) – A fatality occurred Saturday afternoon following a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 4 near the Old River Bridge in the Discovery Bay area. The crash was reported at approximately 3:45 p.m. The incident occurred on February 28 and involved a red Chevrolet Silverado, a motorcycle, and a white truck. Investigators stated that the Silverado, traveling westbound, braked and veered into the oncoming lane for reasons unknown, colliding with the eastbound white truck. The collision sent the white truck into the motorcycle before it veered into an irrigation canal and flipped over. The truck’s driver succumbed to crash-related injuries. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. The Silverado driver was uninjured. The road, including the bridge, remained closed for several hours as emergency personnel attended the scene. Officials are still probing the reason behind the accident, with further information to be shared once it’s ready.
