A vehicle spun out and collided with a mountain in the Barstow California Highway Patrol area on Nov. 1, according to dispatch information. The collision was reported at about 1:14 p.m. near mile marker 15 on the roadway identified in the dispatch record.
CHP classified the incident as a traffic collision involving no reported injuries. The dispatch did not identify the vehicle involved or provide additional information about the circumstances leading up to the collision.
A follow-up update at about 1:16 p.m. stated that the vehicle had spun out before colliding with the mountain. The vehicle was then reported to be on the right shoulder.
The available CHP information did not indicate that travel lanes were blocked or that additional vehicles were involved. No other emergency response or roadway closures were documented in the dispatch update.
