A three-vehicle collision was reported at about 3:15 p.m. Aug. 24 on eastbound Interstate 580 near the First Street on-ramp in California. An ambulance was reported en route to the crash area, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.
The collision location was described as eastbound I-580 just west of First Street. The incident was handled through the CHP’s Dublin area.
CHP dispatch later confirmed that three vehicles were involved. The available dispatch information did not specify the vehicles’ makes, models or the extent of any injuries.
By 3:46 p.m., a tow truck had been requested for the vehicles involved. The dispatch information did not state whether any lanes were blocked or how long the roadway impact was expected to last.
