Thermalito, CA (March 13, 2026) – Six individuals, including two toddlers, suffered injuries in a two-vehicle collision Thursday evening, March 12, at the Oro Dam Blvd W and 12th St intersection in Thermalito. Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 7:40 p.m. following the crash reported close to the road in front of a nearby bar. Upon arrival, crews discovered both vehicles had sustained major damage from the collision. Authorities reported that six individuals were injured in the crash. One individual suffered major injuries, while three others had moderate injuries. Two toddlers in the crash sustained minor injuries. Several ambulances arrived at the scene to transport the injured patients to local hospitals for medical care. The road was briefly closed as crews aided the victims and cleared the area. Officials are still probing the crash’s cause, with additional information to follow once available. Our thoughts are with the injured as they get medical treatment. Why Multi-Occupant Crashes Frequently Result in Multiple Injuries. Multi-vehicle traffic accidents can injure numerous individuals, particularly when there are multiple passengers involved. Each vehicle can transport drivers and passengers who feel the collision’s effects differently based on their seating position inside. Injury severity is typically influenced by elements like vehicle speed, impact angle, and use of safety restraints.
