A traffic collision on southbound U.S. 101 near the San Antonio Road north off-ramp blocked the freeway’s slow lane Thursday afternoon. The crash was reported at about 3:27 p.m. on the southbound side, just north of the San Antonio Road exit.
The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a traffic collision with an ambulance en route. The dispatch information did not specify the number of vehicles involved or report the extent of any injuries.
By 3:43 p.m., a fire unit had been reported at the scene. The slow lane remained blocked as emergency personnel handled the collision near the off-ramp.
The incident was being managed in the Redwood City CHP area. No additional roadway closures or later conditions were provided in the available dispatch updates.
