A vehicle struck a tree on Canfield Road near the Palomar Fire Station in California at about 3:36 p.m. on Aug. 18, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a solo-vehicle collision.
CHP dispatch information indicated that a person in their 40s sustained a minor injury to the left shoulder. The person was reported to be alert and conscious after the crash.
The dispatch did not specify whether the injured person would be transported for medical care. No additional vehicles were reported as being involved.
A tow truck was requested at approximately 3:59 p.m. to assist with removing the vehicle. CHP identified the location as 35600 Canfield Road, in front of the Palomar Fire Station, within the Oceanside area.
