San Jose, CA (October 28, 2025) – Traffic was affected and at least one person was hurt due to a multi-vehicle accident involving four cars on northbound Highway 85 on Monday morning, as reported by the San Jose Fire Department. The incident happened at approximately 8:40 a.m. on October 27, just to the north of the Almaden Expressway junction. Several emergency units, including Engine 13 and Engine 17, reacted to a Delta-level medical alert, indicating a critical situation. Arriving crews discovered four vehicles were involved in the accident. A person experienced back pain and was assessed on-site by medical staff. More information regarding the severity of injuries or whether anyone was taken to a hospital has not been provided yet. The California State Patrol also arrived to help manage traffic as teams assessed the area and removed the damaged vehicles. The reason for the crash is still being examined, and there have been no estimates provided regarding the duration of the traffic disruption in the area.
