Sacramento, CA (January 30, 2026) – Local law enforcement dispatch reports indicate that an early Wednesday vehicle crash into a telephone pole near Hagginwood Park caused injuries and traffic disruptions on Marysville Blvd. The incident happened just after midnight on January 28, when a Ford hatchback allegedly left the roadway and hit a utility pole at 3271 Marysville Blvd. The impact knocked down power lines, obstructing traffic in both directions near Arcade Blvd. Emergency teams arrived at the site to evaluate conditions and address the road hazard. Early accounts stated that the driver escaped the scene on foot, heading south toward Arcade Blvd. Witnesses described the suspect as a Hispanic man dressed in all black, and police later detained someone fitting that description in the area. One individual was believed to have been injured in the crash, though the severity of the injuries has not been made public. A witness on site identified the suspect in custody, who had items in his possession connecting him to the vehicle. Officials stayed at the scene to manage traffic, probe the crash, and work with utility teams to handle the fallen wires. It was confirmed that the Ford involved had an expired registration.
