Porterville, CA (April 20, 2026) – A fatal crash early Sunday morning, April 19, near Porterville killed one person and injured two others. The crash happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. At Highway 190 and Westwood Road in Tulare County. Authorities stated the driver ran a stop sign and collided with concrete construction barriers on the roadway. The crash inflicted fatal injuries on the driver, resulting in death at the scene. Two occupants of the vehicle were transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The incident caused a temporary shutdown of the highway in both directions while crews cleared the scene. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of those involved. The crash is still being investigated. We offer our deepest condolences to the family of the victim who passed away.
