(San Diego, CA) Late Friday night, December 13, a 40-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while crossing an intersection on Qualcomm Way, suffering injuries. The collision occurred around 11:46 p.m. At the intersection of Qualcomm Way and Camino De La Reina. According to police, the man crossed in the west crosswalk while the light was red. At that instant, a 2007 Honda Accord heading west on Camino De La Rein entered the intersection and struck him. The pedestrian sustained an open fracture in his left leg, plus facial lacerations and abrasions. The 41-year-old driver stayed at the scene, with officers stating alcohol was not involved.
