The incident happened at approximately 3:54 p.m. and was confirmed soon after units reached the scene. Early reports showed one vehicle positioned off the traffic island, with another observable from the northbound lane. Firefighters and medical personnel were sent right away, handling the event as an injury-involved traffic crash. No official details have been released on the number of occupants or the severity of injuries. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
