On Tuesday morning, October 28th, a fatal collision took place on the San Diego Freeway’s southbound 405, involving multiple vehicles, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m., resulting in the death of a motorcyclist, according to authorities. just to the north of Bake Parkway. While traveling on the highway, the motorcyclist fell, hitting the pavement. Soon after the accident, several cars hit the injured cyclist. Upon their arrival, the authorities shut down all major southbound lanes of the 405 for a few hours. At the same time, investigators were at the location, and CHP officers redirected traffic into the carpool lane. The Orange County Coroner’s Office has responded and will disclose the victim’s identity after notifying the next of kin. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family.
