A major-injury collision was reported Saturday afternoon on the westbound State Route 126 off-ramp at Wells Road in California. The incident was recorded at approximately 2:59 p.m. on Aug. 29, 2026, in the Ventura area.
The California Highway Patrol identified the location as the westbound 126 Wells Road off-ramp. Dispatch information classified the crash as a traffic collision involving major injuries, but did not provide the number of vehicles involved or descriptions of those vehicles.
A later CHP update, recorded at about 4:03 p.m., indicated that a tow response was at the scene. The dispatch information did not specify whether the off-ramp was closed or whether traffic lanes were blocked.
CHP did not provide additional details about the injured person or people, including whether anyone was transported for medical care. The available dispatch record also did not identify a cause of the collision.
