Los Angeles, CA (September 22, 2025) – On Sunday night, emergency teams from the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly arrived at the site of a major car crash close to the intersection of West 50th Street and Western Avenue. The incident took place at approximately 8:21 p.m. A comprehensive advanced life support (ALS) response was activated following reports of injuries at the location. Firefighters from Squad 84, along with law enforcement, arrived at the intersection in the Vermont Square region after a vehicle accident that resulted in multiple people needing urgent medical care. Emergency personnel, such as paramedics, evaluated and provided care to those injured in the accident, administering immediate assistance before organizing additional medical transport. The crossing at W 50th St and Western Ave experiences high traffic in South Los Angeles, especially in the evenings when visibility worsens. Although the total severity of the injuries hasn’t been disclosed, authorities have stated that ALS-level assistance was required, suggesting that substantial trauma may have occurred to one or more people involved. Currently, the precise number of vehicles or individuals engaged in the incident remains unverified. Police officers stayed on-site for a prolonged time to carry out a detailed inquiry into the events leading up to the accident. We extend our sympathies to all those impacted by this event.
