Long Beach, CA (January 11, 2026) – A crash involving two vehicles, resulting in at least one death, was reported in Long Beach early Saturday afternoon. The incident took place at approximately 1:41 p.m. On January 10, at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and East 4th Street, an incident triggered a significant emergency response. Radio dispatches from the scene verified a 901T code—denoting a traffic collision with injuries—and a 901K code, indicating at least one confirmed fatality on site. Officers from the Long Beach Police Department’s 90 Division, along with fire personnel and paramedics, responded to the scene. One driver reportedly requested medical attention after the crash. Emergency response teams arrived promptly to offer assistance, although the total number of injuries has not yet been revealed. Responders secured the scene on the northbound lanes of Cherry Ave while evaluating the condition of those involved. The events preceding the collision are still unknown, and authorities have yet to disclose the deceased individual’s identity or verify the crash details. Investigators continue to review the scene, vehicle placements, and witness statements to identify contributing factors.
