In downtown Los Angeles, a 30-year-old woman named Kathryn Gerdes lost her life in a crash on a 10 Freeway exit early Saturday morning, October 18, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The accident took place at approximately 4:33 a.m. regarding the shift from the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway to the northbound Harbor (43183) Freeway. Officer Erik Larson from the CHP stated that Gerdes crossed the traffic lanes when the accident occurred. Out of nowhere, a white Lexus RX 350 hit her close to the freeway divider.
