Jurupa Valley, CA (April 22, 2026) – Three individuals suffered injuries Tuesday afternoon, April 21, in a collision involving multiple vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, on the westbound 60 Freeway at Valley Way. The incident took place around 3:33 p.m. It occurred in the middle lanes of the freeway and involved a semi-truck, several sedans, and a pickup truck. Emergency responders arrived to discover the vehicles disabled with debris strewn across the road. The semi-truck halted and blocked multiple lanes, as fluids and wreckage spilled into neighboring lanes, resulting in a complete closure of the westbound side for over 90 minutes. When emergency crews arrived, all vehicle occupants were already out of their cars. Three individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The road was cleared and reopened later that afternoon. Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash, with additional details to be released as they emerge. We’re keeping those injured in our thoughts as they get medical treatment.. Why Multi-Vehicle Freeway Crashes Can Lead to Full Closures. A multi-vehicle collision on a freeway can rapidly turn the scene into a challenging situation to control. Damaged vehicles can obstruct several lanes, as debris and spilled fluids spread across the road. Large vehicles, such as tractor-trailers, can complicate the situation further.
