An injury-related hit-and-run was reported at Golden Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway on Sept. 6, 2026, at about 3:28 p.m. The incident involved a vehicle that fled the scene after the collision.
Long Beach Fire Department Rescue 2 later advised the California Highway Patrol that the injured patient had been transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital. The fire department requested that a CHP officer meet the patient in the hospital’s emergency room.
The patient reportedly had video showing the license plate of the vehicle that left the scene. That recording was shared with authorities as part of the hit-and-run response.
The CHP dispatch update was logged at about 3:55 p.m. No additional information about the vehicle, the patient’s condition or the circumstances leading to the collision was provided in the dispatch information.
