Huntington Beach, CA (December 9, 2025) – A fatal collision involving two vehicles on the Pacific Coast Highway took place on Monday morning around 2:15 a.m., resulting in the death of one man and injuring another, as reported by the Huntington Beach Police Department. on December 8, 2025, heading north on PCH just south of Warner Avenue. Investigators stated that a white Audi Q5 crashed into the back of a black Ford Expedition while both cars were heading in the same direction. The impact was strong enough to flip the Ford Expedition, which ended up upside-down in the road. The Audi Q5 swerved off the highway and landed in the wetlands next to the road. Emergency responders arrived promptly and discovered the 29-year-old driver from Huntington Beach unresponsive. He was declared dead at the location. The 44-year-old man from Sunnyvale, who was driving the Ford, suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. The series of occurrences that resulted in the collision is currently being investigated. Officials have not verified if speed, distraction, or impairment were factors involved.
