On September 29, 2025, in Humboldt County, CA, a pedestrian suffered serious injuries on Saturday night after being hit by a car close to the westbound off-ramp of State Route 299 at Glendale Drive. The accident took place at approximately 6:02 p.m. This incident triggered a considerable emergency reaction from fire and medical teams in the Humboldt region. As per the California Highway Patrol reports, the accident occurred when a vehicle hit a pedestrian close to the turnout area on the westbound SR-299 corridor. The last sighting of the vehicle was in the turnout, but the person who reported it had left the area by the time help arrived. Fire crews reached the site soon after being dispatched and started providing assistance to the injured pedestrian. Because of the seriousness of the injuries, the event was classified as “1180,” signifying major trauma. Currently, no additional information regarding the victim’s identity or the exact injuries has been disclosed. The vehicle involved has stayed at the location, and authorities are investigating the factors contributing to the accident, such as lighting, road design, or visibility of the pedestrian.
