Huntington Beach, CA (April 1, 2026) – A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a passenger car Sunday afternoon in Huntington Beach. The incident took place at approximately 3:56 p.m. On Sunday, March 29, at the Pacific Coast Hwy and 24th St. intersection, a northbound BMW motorcycle struck a white Toyota Camry exiting a nearby parking lot, officials said. Emergency responders arrived and took the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment. The rider later succumbed to injuries from the crash. Authorities stated that the Camry was operated by a 19-year-old woman who stayed at the scene following the incident. Officials indicated that impairment was not suspected. Additional information regarding the circumstances preceding the crash has not been made public yet. Officials are still probing the reason behind the crash, with further information to be shared as it emerges. We extend our deepest sympathies to the victim’s family and friends. Why Exits from Parking Lots Pose Collision Hazards for Motorcycles. Roadways adjacent to parking lots and driveways pose additional challenges for drivers and motorcyclists. Cars pulling into traffic from parking spots frequently face restricted sightlines, particularly when other vehicles or roadside elements obstruct the view of oncoming traffic. Motorcycles are harder to spot due to their compact size.
