The location was listed as approximately one mile south of the Seigler Canyon Road and Big Canyon Road intersection. The incident fell within the California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake area.
At 2:51 p.m., CHP updated the incident classification from a traffic collision with no injuries to a hit-and-run collision without injuries. The dispatch information did not identify the vehicle that reportedly left the scene.
CHP also did not provide details about the circumstances of the collision, the vehicles involved or any roadway closures. The available dispatch record continued to list the incident as involving no reported injuries.
