Hayward, CA (January 14, 2026) – The California Highway Patrol reports that a pedestrian was hurt in a vehicle crash Tuesday evening at the Via Hornitos and Bockman Road intersection in Hayward. The collision took place around 8:42 p.m. On the 13th of January. Emergency services were sent to the location after reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian. Medics gave immediate treatment to the injured person, while an ambulance was on its way to take the victim to a nearby hospital. The severity of the pedestrian’s injuries is still unconfirmed. The CHP has yet to provide information on the driver involved or the events preceding the crash. It is not yet known if any citations or arrests were issued. The crash is still under investigation. Our thoughts are with the injured pedestrian, and we wish them a full and swift recovery.
