A 71-year-old man was fatally struck by a pickup truck on Springdale Street in Huntington Beach, CA, on December 1st, around 6:25 a.m. The incident occurred while the man was crossing the street. The Huntington Beach Police Department reported the accident. at the intersection of Springdale Street and Brannen Drive. Authorities reported that Kurt George Nickel, a resident of Huntington Beach, was walking in the vicinity. Eventually, a 37-year-old male driving a Ford F-250 traveling north on Springdale Street hit him. Despite efforts from emergency personnel, Nickel passed away due to his injuries at the accident site. Authorities reported that the driver stayed at the location and fully assisted the investigators. Officials did not believe the driver was under the influence.
