A four-vehicle collision was reported at about 3:34 p.m. Aug. 31 on westbound State Route 237, just east of the Mathilda Avenue off-ramp in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving unknown injuries.
The vehicles were identified as a Tesla, a Ford van, a box truck and a Toyota sedan. CHP dispatch information indicated that all four vehicles were on the right side of the roadway.
The crash location was on westbound 237 near the Mathilda Avenue off-ramp. The dispatch description placed the incident just east of Mathilda Avenue.
By about 3:38 p.m., debris had been removed from the No. 1 lane. The CHP San Jose area handled the reported collision, and no additional injury information was provided in the available dispatch update.
