A traffic collision was reported at about 2:44 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, on eastbound Interstate 80 just west of Atlantic Street. The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.
The initial CHP classification identified the incident as a traffic collision with an ambulance en route. The dispatch record did not provide descriptions of the vehicles involved or indicate whether any lanes were blocked.
At approximately 2:55 p.m., CHP updated the incident classification to a collision involving minor injuries. The update was the only subsequent detail provided in the dispatch record.
The incident was handled within the CHP Auburn FSP area. The available information did not identify the injured person or persons, describe the extent of the injuries beyond the minor-injury classification, or provide details about transportation from the scene.
