A traffic collision was reported Aug. 31 at about 3:48 p.m. on State Route 192 near Camino Viejo in the Santa Barbara area. The reported location was on Sycamore Canyon just west of Camino Viejo.
The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with unknown injuries. Dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or describe the circumstances of the crash.
A subsequent CHP update at 3:50 p.m. stated that the reporting party declined an ambulance response. The condition of another involved party was listed as unknown.
No lane closures, roadway blockage, vehicle descriptions or towing activity were included in the available dispatch information. CHP provided no further details about the collision.
