Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of the deceased in this challenging time. How Speed Can Influence Motorcycle Crashes at Urban Intersections. Motorcycle accidents at urban intersections frequently occur rapidly and may lead to serious consequences. Motorcyclists receive less physical protection than car occupants, heightening the chance of severe injury or fatality in a crash. Speed impacts both reaction time and braking distance. As a rider or driver speeds up, it gets more difficult to dodge unexpected obstacles or adjust to shifting traffic situations.
