Brentwood, CA (March 26, 2026) – Reports indicate a motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Wednesday morning on State Highway 4 beyond the Sand Creek Rd exit in Brentwood. The incident took place around 12:45 a.m. The rider, heading westbound on the highway, collided with the rear of another vehicle. Authorities stated that the collision ejected the motorcyclist from the bike and onto the road. After landing in the highway lanes, the man was hit by several vehicles driving on the roadway. Emergency responders reached the scene, where the rider was declared dead. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity yet as they notify the family. No additional injuries were reported related to the incident. Officials are still probing the reason for the crash, with further information to be shared once available. We extend our sympathies to the family and friends of the victim. Why Motorcycle Riders Face Heightened Risk in Highway Crashes. Motorcycles provide significantly less protection than cars, rendering highway accidents particularly hazardous for riders. Riders face greater risk of severe injury in crashes without protective frames, airbags, or seat belts. High-speed roads introduce additional hazards. Traffic frequently travels at high speeds, and riders who lose control or crash into another vehicle could be ejected into live lanes.
