(Palm Springs, CA) On Sunday night, December 14, a bicyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run on Avenida Caballeros after being hit at the intersection with Vista Chino. Officers arrived around 7:13 p.m. and discovered an adult male cyclist who had moderate injuries. Emergency medical personnel took him to a hospital for care. Police subsequently identified the suspect as 62-year-old Andre Colucci from Palm Springs. Investigators state that Colucci fled the scene but was arrested later on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury and DUI causing injury. Officers booked him into Benoit Detention Center, with bail set at $30,000. The investigation is still ongoing. Overview of the Avenida Caballeros hit-and-run.
