A traffic collision was reported Tuesday afternoon on southbound Interstate 405 just north of Interstate 10 in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash was recorded at approximately 3:45 p.m. on September 1, 2026, near the southbound I-405 connection with Interstate 10. CHP dispatch described the location as southbound I-405 just north of I-10.
An airbag deployed in the collision, according to the reporting party. Despite the deployment, the person who reported the crash advised CHP that no one was injured.
The dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or describe any lane closures, traffic blockage, fire response or towing activity. The available CHP update consisted of the initial collision report and the airbag and injury-status information.
