(North Hollywood, CA) Multiple individuals were injured in a three-car collision on Vineland Avenue, which caused a nearby Metrolink train to stop on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred on September 17, around 6:40 a.m. The accident involving three vehicles took place on Vineland Avenue. As reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident took place at the crossroads of Vineland Avenue and Vanowen Street in North Hollywood. The accident resulted in one vehicle overturning, while another car was positioned atop another. Rescue teams evaluated six individuals on-site, and five were transported to nearby hospitals due to injuries that are not life-threatening. A single individual refused medical transport. Emergency services temporarily halted a nearby Metrolink train for safety while they assisted the victims and removed the crossing signal that had collapsed onto the road. After the area was secured, the train continued its journey but at a slower pace. Teams also conducted a “rapid door opening” to rescue an individual from a wrecked car.
