(Canyon Country, CA) A fatal accident took place on October 28th at around 5:30 a.m., involving two Ford Mustangs colliding head-on on Sierra Highway, resulting in one fatality and another person being hospitalized, as reported by Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez of the California Highway Patrol’s Newhall-area office. on Sierra Highway, slightly north of Vasquez Canyon Road. Initial accounts suggested that one of the cars collided with a street lamp afterwards. Upon their arrival, paramedics declared one individual deceased at the location. Another individual was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment, but their condition has not been disclosed. CHP officers stayed at the site for several hours as investigators looked into the cause of the accident. A section of Sierra Highway was shut down for almost five hours while teams cleared the debris and gathered evidence. We express our heartfelt sympathy to the victim’s family.
