Los Angeles, CA (November 20, 2025) – A 68-year-old man died Monday night when his car was hit by a suspected drunk driver who ran a red light in South Los Angeles. The deadly accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. At the crossroads of West 76th St and Broadway, as per the Los Angeles Police Department, investigators stated that the casualty was operating a Toyota Camry in an easterly direction on W 76th St and had entered the intersection legally with a green signal when a Chevrolet proceeding southbound on Broadway disregarded the red signal and collided with the Camry. Prompt emergency services transported the harmed individual to a close-by medical center, where he was subsequently announced dead. His identity has not been disclosed yet as the family needs to be informed. The Chevrolet driver stayed at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. More information about the suspect or potential charges has not been disclosed. We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the man who lost his life in this unfortunate event.
