Long Beach, CA (January 5, 2026) – A deadly multi-vehicle crash late Sunday night killed two people and injured three others near the 6th Street and Atlantic Boulevard intersection, the Long Beach Police Department reports. The incident was reported around 10:15 p.m. It occurred on January 4 and involved as many as four vehicles, one of which flipped over in the crash. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed two deaths from the crash. Three other people were taken to a nearby hospital for care. The conditions of those involved have not been disclosed, and the severity of their injuries is still unknown. Officials blocked off the intersection area for several hours while police carried out an on-site investigation and emergency teams removed debris from the road. The Long Beach Police Department is conducting an ongoing probe into the factors behind the collision. No details have been given about possible contributing factors like speed or impairment.
